ACADEMIC INTEGRATION/GRANTS
CTE/Academic integration combines rigorous math, science and language arts courses with Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses in an effort to increase student engagement and make learning relevant.
West-MEC and Western Maricopa Tech Prep Consortium have partnered to promote and support the planning, developing and implementation of Career and Technical Education (CTE) and academic integration projects.
Agua Fria Union, Buckeye Union, Deer Valley Unified, Glendale Union, Paradise Valley Unified, Peoria Unified, Saddle Mountain Unified and Wickenburg Unified are West-MEC member districts that are currently involved in the CTE academic integration project.
Academic integration materials are available for general use and distribution. However, West-MEC, Western Maricopa Tech Prep Consortium (www.aztechprep.com) and the participating school districts would appreciate the courtesy of a source citation.
